Our Captain

Pastor Billy Carter

Hello, my name is Billy Carter, and I am the Pastor here at Mountain Springs Baptist Church of Livingston, Montana. I would like to take this opportunity, to invite you to be a part of our services this Lord’s Day. We are an old-fashioned Baptist Church, singing old-fashioned hymns, and preaching the word of God. You will feel a very warm welcome, from the church family.

A Brief Testimony

Pastor Carter was born in Monroe NC, September 1969. In October of 1988, Pastor married his High School sweetheart, Tonya Rushing. They have two children, Breanna and Coburn. Pastor Carter was saved on January 27, 1997, and surrendered to the call to preach, December 13, 1997. After he surrendered to preach, missions became heavy on his heart, Montana specifically. Pastor Carter talked to his Pastor and he advised him to saturate the matter in prayer. One year later, after diligently seeking God’s will, the Lord settled in his heart what He would have him do. July 2000, Pastor Carter followed God to be a Missionary to the State of Montana. Pastor Carter is sent out of Galilee Baptist Church, of Monroe North Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor Andy Wells.

With a heavy burden for missions, and desiring God’s will for his life, in May 2003 they said goodbye to their families and friends in North Carolina, packed up their bags and headed for Livingston, Montana. Their very first service was held on the first Wednesday night of August 2003. With just the family in attendance they were very grateful to be in the will of God. Today, God has blessed the Church with a wonderful congregation who have fallen in love with them and the Lord, helping them reach Livingston for the cause of Christ.

They have seen God save many souls during the ministry and are patiently waiting and praying for revival to “heal our land”. God bless you, and thanks for visiting our web site. And Remember FRIEND Jesus really cares!
